Log in this weekend, because it's time to GET SMASHIN'! We've brought character, monster, reward, and background art straight from our second 2D MMO, HeroSmash, into AdventureQuest Worlds so you can battle through our very own version of the Trials of SuperDeath.
SuperDeath is HeroSmash's very own version of OUR Death. A few years back, in the HeroSmash universe, he sent HeroSmash heroes through a rigorous gauntlet, as he was trying to decide if he wanted to be a hero or a villain. (Turns out being an immortal superbeing makes you want to be on your own side and take over the world!)
We managed to stop him then, and ever since, he's staye in his own Shadow Realm. Until now... This weekend, /join superdeath to begin your adventure:

HeroSmash was a 2D MMO developed by Artix Entertainment between 2010 - 2014, and beloved by a small-but-passionate corps of super-hero loving members of our community. Because HeroSmash is no longer available to play on your web browser or in the Artix Games Launcher, the AdventureQuest Worlds team wanted to bring a small taste of HeroSmash's BIG (and bobble-headed) power to www.AQ.com
We've imported a ton of player-favorite items from HeroSmash and they're all available to you... RIGHT NOW! Battle the monsters in /superdeath to collect all the reward drops and check out the AC gear shop for even more armors, weapons, and accessories.

Health Cost Skills
Skills that cost a percentage of max health (except for skills that do direct self damage) will now leave the player at 1 HP instead of killing them. This should fix disconnection issues.

Frostval Gifts: -HoT is now static
Nechronomancer
'Although health cost skills no longer kill the player, Nechronomancer still provides a frustrating experience for many. These changes introduce a more forgiving health cost mechanic while still keeping its performance levels around the same as before.'
Mortification:
-Cooldown: 1.5 seconds > 2 seconds
-Necrosis DoT is now static
Bleeding Time:
-No longer costs a percentage of max HP
-Passage of Time now applies a self DoT that stacks to 100
-Passage of Time duration: 8 seconds > 4 seconds
-Eternal Frenzy stack limit: 9 > 15
ShadowScythe's Past:
-Increased the delay for the Unleashed Doom DoT tick (now 2 skills can be used before it ticks)
-Damage of Unleashed Doom adjusted to compensate
ShadowScythe's Future:
-Empress's Awakening now also removes stacks of Passage of Time
-Slowed Reflexes now also reduces Hit Chance by 20%
-Deteriorating Sight aura has been removed
