The Artix Entertainment team filled Faith's Truck with bags full of wrapped presents from HeroMart and headed to the Children's Hospital to give them out. It was the best start to a day... ever!

A lot of the team dressed up, and the young people we visited were certainly entertained! The Hospital's staff took us room to room. Nythera and Faith had Santa buckets full of candy, then those of us carrying the sacks of gifts (each one containing gifts for a certain age... HeroMart does not have anything for children younger than 4, so we were sure to buy a bunch of plush toys and books for them) delivered a present appropriate for their age. The very first boy we met was a player of AQWorlds... and you should have seen the look on his face when someone recommended that he get me to sign his action figure, and he suddenly realized who I was.

I hope all of the young ones we visited today had lots of fun. Battle on!

When we were live on the local NBC affiliate news last month, we got a recommendation from the security guard on how to position ourselves for the fight scene. I thanked him and said if he had any other great advice please share. He said, "I do have one piece of advice, take this show over to the Children's Hospital." So, wherever you are Mr. NBC Tampa 13 Security Guard.... mission accomplished. And this is one "show" that is going to have A LOT of re-runs. *salutes with Battle Axe*

Forgot to feed the server hamsters?

On my way to the lab Monday morning, I made a tweet about making it "BEST DAY EVER". So naturally the entire game network went kaboom in what can only be described as the most catastrophic disaster in the past several years. Which, looking back... we have had a surprisingly good track record of "up time". So what happened? We had a serious problem with this server, the www.Artix.com one. Our ISP took it offline to help us resolve the issue and... /facepalms.... also accidentally moved some of our other critical servers onto the wrong network. The servers that were moved had no idea where they were, and explained as plainly as I can... screamed. (If a server in the middle of a forest screams, will anyone hear it?) The screaming triggered all sorts of problems and got the servers put on the naughty lists. Meanwhile, back on our network, all of our web pages desperately tried to contact those missing servers. Not getting replies, the web pages posted the error message "Web Server too Busy."  Now, anyone with network knowledge is going to say, "HEY! That is not even remotely accurate" to which I reply... "Um, close enough!" Thus not needing to write a novels worth of text explaining our network infrastructure, firewalls, port forwarding, and content management system. So, what do you do when you are still at the lab at 11PM up against even more server problems on the "BEST DAY EVER?" Two words. "Battle On."

OverSoul is getting an OverHaul! Your favorite fiend Nulgath is working on some serious game improvements. He’s making a battle training tutorial, a video tutorial, and giving voice to some NPCs. This week, a new in-game account creation pop-up has made the scene, along with the first Staff character release: the Revontheus Birthday Character.

The Thankstaking war is almost over! If you can help to finish the war and defeat the boss on the night of the 30th, DragonFable players will get an extra special release on Saturday of one of the zones being redone for Book 3!

Grand prize winner gets his hand turned into an in-game pet. This Friday, the games will be release their darkest "Black Friday" shops. There will be half-off weapons (literally) and a lot of popular items recolored to 50 shades of Black. We also expect HeroMart to release a special bundle of our gaming swag -- well, that is what Faith did last year and we all sorta nudged her about doing it again. *keeps an eye on HeroMart.com* Gobble on!

Speaking of… a persistence bonus has been added to Cure Sys-Zero missions as well! And don’t forget to update your ‘do with even more new hairstyles for males and females.

Fly on over to HeroSmash and check out the brand-new Smashdome!  The Smashdome has a bunch of new features and Dumoose even got a makeover. And did you vision just get more super? The NPC text bubbles have been cleaned up and are now easier to follow. Super Vision rules!
